If the pub stays, we stay.

The Untold Challenges of Rural Communities in Cornwall

This short documentary explores the often-overlooked challenges faced by rural communities in Cornwall. Set in the remote district of Meneage, the film guides viewers through the history and character of St Martin village, revealing the changes and tensions shaping local life.

Through conversations with residents and a visit to The Prince of Wales pub, where one of the organisers behind a community campaign shares their perspective, the film presents a range of voices that reflect both the rewards and difficulties of living rurally.

Mixing personal stories with a sense of place, it offers an honest insight into a community navigating the balance between preservation and progress.
