SENSATIONS

The Sensations project was a commissioned brief that required me to create five responses based on each of the human senses. I decided to base this project on my trip to the USA, whilst I travelled along route 66.

Hearing

The crosswalk that is framed by darkness, makes me think of the human sense of hearing, as in my opinion it makes it look quiet and still.

Taste

The line of stools in a diner makes me think of the human sense taste, due to a diner being a place you go to eat at.

Sight

The neon ‘used cars’ sign, makes me think of the human sense of sight, due to neon signs being bright and eye catching. as well as the image being photographed through a windshield, which you look through when driving.

Touch

The rusty grlle of this truck makes me think of the human sense of touch, due to how rust feels rough and sharp when touched.

SMELL

The american gas station makes me think of the human sense of smell, due to the smell of fuel you get when at a gas station.
